Installation, Berlin 2010
On one level my work is about painting. About how the viewer perceives an image in time and space. It is also about process and painting's boundaries.
On another level it is about the art aesthetic. How form , coour and structure become the narrative. Using materials mostly discarded by society I find these material's forms can often reflect back on our environment.
Historical influences on my work could be attributed to the work of artists such as Kurt Schwitters and the colourfield work of Richard Diebenkorn.
